What we build
- Customer apps for booking, ordering, loyalty and accounts
- Companion apps for an existing web platform

- Apps that use the camera, location, maps or notifications
- Marketplace and community apps with messaging
One codebase or two?
Most apps we build use React Native with Expo, which gives you one codebase for iPhone and Android and keeps the cost close to building one app. When an app needs deep access to the phone, such as heavy camera work, background location or Bluetooth hardware, we build natively in Swift and Kotlin instead, and explain why before you pay for it.
From build to the app stores
Store submission is part of the job. We prepare the listing, screenshots and privacy answers, test on real devices, and handle Apple and Google review, including the occasional rejection. The apps are published under your developer accounts, so the listing, the ratings and the customers are yours.
What it costs
A first version for iPhone and Android usually costs $6,000 to $9,000 USD and takes 8 to 12 weeks. Paired with a web app on the same system it is $9,000 to $13,000 over 10 to 16 weeks. Outside the quote are the store fees billed to you directly: Apple charges US$99 a year, Google a one-off US$25.
Every project runs the same way: a free scoping call, a written plan and fixed quote, two-week sprints, launch, then care. See how it goes.
Questions
Mobile app development for iPhone and Android: common questions.
How much does it cost to build an app?
A first version for iPhone and Android usually costs $6,000 to $9,000 USD with us. A local agency in Australia, the UK or the US will usually quote considerably more for the same scope. The final figure depends on features such as payments, messaging, maps or offline use, and is fixed before we start.
How long does it take to build a mobile app?
Usually 8 to 12 weeks for a first version, including app store review. Apple and Google review normally takes a few days, and we plan for it.
Do you build native or cross-platform apps?
Mostly cross-platform, with React Native and Expo: one codebase for iPhone and Android, at close to the cost of one app. When an app needs deep access to the phone, we build natively in Swift and Kotlin and explain the extra cost first.
Will you publish it to the App Store and Google Play?
Yes, under your own developer accounts. We help you set them up, prepare the listings and handle the review process.
What happens when iOS or Android changes?
New phone software and new store rules occasionally need changes to the app. A care plan covers those; without one, we quote each update when it comes up.
