App development for UK startups and businesses
A senior-led team building web and mobile apps for UK founders and businesses at a fraction of UK agency rates. Fixed quotes, an update waiting every morning, and code you own from day one.
- First version, in pounds sterling
- From £3,400
- Ahead of the UK, so work moves overnight
- 7 to 8 hours
- Added to our invoices
- No VAT
Seven or eight hours ahead, and that helps
We are seven hours ahead of the UK in summer and eight in winter. The end of our working day overlaps with the first two or three hours of yours, so morning calls work; the rest of the project runs in writing. You start each day with an update on what was built, and what you answer during your day is worked on while you sleep.
What it costs in pounds sterling
Typical first versions, about in pounds sterling, at 19 October 2026 exchange rates. Payments, an admin dashboard, messaging or an AI feature each add a known amount, and the price is fixed in writing before we start.
| What you are building | Typical price | Time |
|---|---|---|
| Web appRuns in a browser | £3,400 to £5,300 | 6 to 9 weeks |
| Mobile appiPhone and Android | £4,500 to £6,800 | 8 to 12 weeks |
| BothOne system, two front doors | £6,800 to £9,800 | 10 to 16 weeks |
We quote and invoice in US dollars, so the pounds sterling figure moves with the exchange rate. The smallest project we take on is $3,000 USD, about £2,300.
Compared with a UK agency
Published 2026 guides from UK agencies put an MVP at £20,000 to £60,000, with London agencies charging more than regional studios. Ours cost less because our senior-led team is in the Philippines, with the same written scope, fixed price and two-week demos.
UK agencies add 20% VAT to their quotes. Our invoices come from a Philippine business and do not include UK VAT. If your business is VAT-registered, services bought from abroad are usually accounted for under the reverse charge, which your accountant will handle.
UK GDPR, and keeping data in the UK
UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 cover your customers’ personal data, and the Philippines has no UK adequacy decision. So before we handle any of it, we sign a data processing agreement with you that includes the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
The app itself can run in London, in your own AWS or DigitalOcean account, so the data stays in the UK and in your name.
What we build for UK clients
- MVP development for startups Sign-up, payments, an admin area, and the one thing that makes your idea worth using. Built to launch, not to demo.
- Custom web app development Booking systems, marketplaces, dashboards and internal tools that replace spreadsheets and paperwork.
- Mobile app development for iPhone and Android iPhone and Android apps sharing the same information as your website, published under your own accounts.
- AI features for your app or business Assistants, document reading and smarter search, with usage limits and a monthly cost you approve first.
- Systems integration and API development Payments, delivery, accounting and government portals talking to each other, instead of your staff retyping.
- App rescue and maintenance Inherited an app nobody can update? We make it safe to change, then improve it step by step.
Questions
Working with us from the UK.
How do you handle the time difference with the UK?
We are seven hours ahead in summer and eight in winter. Our late afternoon is your morning, so calls go then, and the rest runs in writing: an update waiting when you start your day, and a private link to click through every two weeks.
Do your prices include VAT?
Our invoices come from a Philippine business and do not include UK VAT. If your business is VAT-registered, services bought from overseas are usually handled under the reverse charge.
Will you sign a UK GDPR data processing agreement?
Yes, before we handle any personal data belonging to your customers. It includes the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum, because the Philippines has no UK adequacy decision.
Can our app’s data stay in the UK?
Yes. We host it in a London region of your own AWS or DigitalOcean account.
Can you quote in pounds sterling?
We quote and invoice in US dollars. At about £0.75 to the US dollar (19 October 2026), a first version starts at around £3,400, and the smallest project we take on is about £2,300. The figure in pounds sterling moves with the exchange rate.
